God the Father-Mother

Is dividing God’s nature into the “divine feminine” or “divine masculine” boxing God into a false dualism?

Might it be that in essence, God is neither masculine nor feminine?

[essence (n.): The inherent nature of a thing or idea]

God is wildly more diverse than we might ever imagine!

Always breaking the boxes we put Her in. Never limited to our small-minded beliefs, religions, practices, and worldview.

At the same time…

We live in a patriarchal society, with systems developed by and in favor of those embodying toxic masculinity.

Ours is a time to uplift the Divine Feminine.

I just hope we don’t do so by creating another box to lock God in.

Let’s be careful that we don’t exchange God as the Guy-in-the-Sky for the Queen-of-the-Clouds.

God is “not this, not that.”

Open to the loving arms of the Goddess, but don’t forget that She is a He is a They is an All and is Everything.

P.S. Go Deeper:

From one of my primary teachers, Cynthia Bourgeault:

“….I kept realizing that the whole notion of a “feminine dimension of God” belonged to a binary metaphysical system, based on the cosmic balance of symmetrical opposites, whereas the Christian metaphysical milieu, by its very Trinitarian lineage, belonged to a ternary metaphysical system. I didn’t know quite what that meant yet, but I knew that in this apparently harmless accommodation to gender equality, contemporary theologians were making a seriously wrong turn, risking the loss of a far greater metaphysical treasure.” [1]

5 Things Happy People Do Right

Happiness is an “inside job” that begins with opening to our natural mind and spiritual center.

“We are kept from the experience of Spirit because our inner world is cluttered with past traumas . . . As we begin to clear away this clutter, the energy of divine light and love begins to flow through our being.”
— Thomas Keating
